AGNIESZKA LASKA DANCERS & Tessa Brinckman with her East West Continuo

GLASS SKY -- the CD release concert -- modern dance with live music

Now, with master in the can and in the final stages of production, is Tessa Brinckman's Glass Sky a full-length CD from her ensemble East West Continuo. Brinckman's own compositional debut title work Glass Sky, for flute, violin, viola and cello, is joined by S.F.-Bay-area composers D'Arcy Reynolds' Cloven Dreams and Mark Fish's Pictures of Miro. NPM founder Jack Gabel contributes Through a Gentle Rain for koto and flutes. These commissioned works are complemented by a rare gem, Quartet for Flute, Violin, Viola and Cello, op. 43 by Volkmar Andreae and a mysteriously gothic tone painting for flute and harp, Narthex by Bernard Andres.

Agnieszka Laska Dancers join Brinckman's East West Continuo to celebrate the CD release with live music and new choreography.
